What we do:
During the week:
Our mid-week service is every Wednesday at 10.30am alternating between morning prayer and Holy Communion. During Advent and Lent there is a communion service every Wednesday.
Complementing our services on a Sunday there is a variety of groups meeting during the week.
Many of our congregation belong to groups of around 10 people that meet each week in a member's home. These groups meet to worship, study the bible and pray together. Meeting in small groups such as these alongside the larger meetings on a Sunday makes it easier for friendships to form and for people to care for one another.
Friday lunchtime is an opportunity for a meal for people over a certain age, whilst chatting in a friendly environment.
Cross Keys cafe
Every Monday 9am to 12am in the Church Hall - with tasty snacks, hot drinks and plenty of people to chat with. Everyone welcome
Monday 1.30 - 3.00pm during term time in the church hall. There are books, puzzles, toys, games & craft activities for children under five & their carer’s, plus singing & story time too.
ateway meets on Thursday evenings (during term time) from 5:30-6:30pm in the Church Hall. Gateway is specifically geared towards the 14 to 18 age group with their particular tastes, interests and needs in mind.
The Den is the youth club for the 10-14 age group and runs on Wednesdays (during term time) at 6:45-7:45 in the Church hall.
We also support various missions locally and around the world. He are more details of the missions we support.
During the month:
There is a prayer meeting on the first Monday evening of every month in the church from 7pm to 8pm.
At this meeting we aim to pray for the needs of our world and local community as well as for the work and people of our own church. If you have a desire to see God on the move in our world, our community and our church then this could be the time when you help that change to happen.
Meeting on the afternoon of the first Tuesday of each month, the women's fellowship aims to provide friendship through a variety of different activities.
A men’s group committed to growing friendships, socialising and laughing together. The group meets on the second Thursday of the month, often in The White Swan pub over the road from church. Please contact Steve Dring for more information.
Women of St Peter's
A group for women of all ages, meeting for socialising, support and chatting alongside a gin or a glass of wine (or whatever drink you like!). Meeting on the third Thursday of the month from 7.30pm in The White Swan. All women are very welcome.
A great way to find out more about what it means to be a Christian. Over 10 weeks we learn and grow together by sharing food, hearing a talk and discussing what we think. An easy and sociable way to explore the Christian faith. Our Alpha Course usually runs during the Autumn term.
St Peter’s Bridge
Offering support between the church family and St Peter’s Junior School. St Peter’s Bridge provides refreshments on school open days and parents evenings as well as a Messy Church session for children and carers once every term
St Peter’s Festival
This takes place end of June beginning of July every year and is an opportunity for us to celebrate our relationship with people across the village through flowers, music, stalls, refreshments and laughter. If you’d like to be involved in the festival, please get in touch.
