Easter & Holy Week 2022

Holy Week

Holy Week will take place 11-15 April. We are returning to our pre-pandemic pattern of sharing services each evening with our friends in the other local churches.

All of these services will begin at 7.30pm and will last between 30 and 40 minutes.


  • Mon 11 April at Littleover Baptist Church, Thornhill Road, DE23 6FZ

  • Tue 12 April at St Andrew’ Blagreaves, Blagreaves Lane, DE23 1PX

  • Wed 13 April at Littleover Methodist Church, Constable Drive, DE23 6EP

  • Thu 14 April at Newmount Methodist Church, Blagreaves Lane, DE23 1PS

The midweek service of Morning Worship will also take place on Wednesday 13 April at 10:30 in church. 

Good Friday - 10am service & walk of witness

On Good Friday, 16 April,  St Peter’s will host the All Age service at 10am and host Christians from across the village. The service will talk place in the church building and will also be available via Livestream and Zoom.


Following the service we will walk round to Littleover Baptist Church on Thornhill Road and begin our Walk of Witness through the village with a large wooden cross. As we walk together we pause to sing and to pray at key points in the village centre. The cross is finally placed in the small garden tended by Littleover in Bloom on the corner of Hartington Road and we end by praying for the community. At the end of the walk we return to Littleover Baptist Church for a welcome cup of tea and hot cross buns.

Good Friday - 2-3pm Hour at the Cross

This service will take place in the church building and also available via Livestream (not Zoom)

Easter Day - 8am & 10am

On Easter Sunday, 17 April, we will be holding BOTH an 8am and 10am service to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. Everyone is welcome to attend our services., The 8am Communion service is available only in Church. The 10am Celebration is available in person or via Livestream and Zoom.
