The Bereavement Journey

If you have been bereaved then you will know the sense of loss and grief that follows. If you would like some support to process these feelings, and to have others to do this with, then we'd like to invite you to join us at St Peter's for The Bereavement Journey course, a seven-week course for anyone who has been bereaved at any time.

This weekly course will include some videos, followed by time to chat and discuss that week's theme. There will of course be plenty of tea, coffee and cake to help you with these.

Topics include:

  • Attachment, separation and loss

  • The pain and responses of grief

  • Anger and guilt

  • Coping with others reactions

  • Delayed and suppressed grief

  • Adjusting to change

  • Moving forward healthily

  • Faith questions - a Christian perspective

More information about the course can be found at www.thebereavementjourney.org

This is a safe place to talk with others who have been bereaved, or just to hear how others are experiencing and dealing with similar issues. Grief is more easily managed when journeying with others and past losses can be opened up safely.

We'll meet on Monday's at 1.30pm, starting from 12th January 2026, in the St Peter's Community Hub on Normanton Lane (DE23 6GP).
