Sunday services

Our services each have a different style and atmosphere. Which ever you choose to attend you will be warmly welcomed.

8.00am Holy Communion

Alternating between the traditional Book of Common Prayer and the contemporary Common Worship services, this service is normally a "said communion" service (i.e. no music) and has a quiet reflective atmosphere.

10.00am Family worship

Modern worship with children's groups and a creche. Once a month we have an "all age" celebration service. This service is suited to families or those that enjoy a more modern worship style. The service includes Holy Communion on alternate weeks.

The children and young people usually leave part way though the service for their own sessions.

Children and young people:

On a Sunday morning, the children start in the church and take part in the beginning of the service with their family and friends.  They then go out to their groups: See & Know, Climbers, Explorers and Pathfinders.

On the 1st Sunday of the month, St Peter’s has an All-age Service, for which the children stay to worship with the whole church family.

See & Know (0-5's)

Coming to church with babies/pre-school children?  Bring them to the See and Know group (which meet in the Welcome area at the entrance of Church) where we enjoy playing with toys, craft activities, singing, refreshments and finding out more about God.  You can leave your child with us or stay with them if you prefer.  The service is relayed on a speaker into our area and we have a full view of the church.

Friends & Heroes (5-7's)

We are a group of 5 to 7 year olds that meet on a Sunday morning in the church hall.  In trying to learn more about God and get to know him better, we play games, pray, hear and watch bible stories, have quizzes and do some art and craft work. New members and visitors are always welcome.

Pathfinders (8-14's)

The 8-14's of the Church family meet over in the church hall.  We learn more about God and how to be Christians in challenging situations through art, drama, reading the Bible and playing games.
